Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3's Roster

Tenkaichi 3 is probably the Dragon Ball games with the most characters ever released and it includes characters from the Dragon Ball era, Dragon Ball Z, the movies and of course Dragon Ball Z.

The characters types

The Good and Evil characters

The game takes into account if the characters have a pure heart or if they are evil and this characteristic offers them different possibilities.
For example, when it comes to customizations, if some Z-items can be used by all characters, some of them can be used only by good characters and some others can only be used by evil characters.
But this isn't all, some special moves deal more damage against evil characters and little of no damage at all against pure hearted characters. For example, this is the case with Devilman's Ultimate.

The races of characters available

- The humans (They can't transform).
- The Saiyan characters (Most of them can transform, at least in Oozarus or in Super Saiyans).
- The Androids and Robots (Theses characters can't manually recharge their ki which automatically slowly recharges, also some of them can absorb energy attacks and they are immune if the character Cell tries to absorb their life).
- The Namekians (This is Piccolo's tribe. Their arms can extend to grab the opponent and some, like Slug can become Giants).
- The Frost Demons (Frieza's race).
- The Aliens (Frieza soldiers, Pikkon, Tapion, ...).
- The Majins (Buu, Dabura, Spopovitch,...).
- The Kaios (Supreme Kai, Kaiobito,...)
- The Giant characters (Oozarus, Janemba's base form, Hirudegarn,... : They aren't stunned by normal hits, are slow and the destructible areas of the maps, like the buildings, are automatically destroyed if they walk through them).

The secondary outfits

Each character in the game has at least two costumes but some characters have three and some others even four of them. Also, when they are hit by some ultimates moves, the characters switch to their battle-damaged outfits.
